Dating can be hard enough as it is, but when you’re a teenager or young adult living on the autism spectrum, it can be even harder. Social cues can be hard to read, and sometimes it’s difficult to get a message across, so you can only imagine how tricky it is when flirting or in a romantic relationship. In this webinar, Dr. Michelle Lee offers information related to the social skills of dating, including how to let someone know you like them, dating safety skills, and how parents can support their teens and young adults.

Mindfulness for Neurodiverse Children and their Families —April 29, 2025, 1:00-1:30PM

Autistic children may experience high levels of emotional reactivity and attention and regulation difficulties. In this webinar we will talk about the reasons for emotion regulation difficulties and share some data about the stress that families of autistic individuals experience, as well as review strategies that can be implemented in everyday routines to “train the muscle” of mindful attention and self-awareness for better coping strategies and more effective problem solving in the family. We’ll also tell participants about our center upcoming MYmind group, which is an evidence-based program for autistic youth and their parents to practice together with trained clinicians' guidance and support.
