Pediatric Otolaryngology Services

Our specialists offer outstanding care for children with an ear, nose, or throat condition.

The nationally recognized pediatric otolaryngologists at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ provide compassionate and highly specialized care to children who have conditions of the ear, nose, and throat. We work closely with you and your child to support and guide you both through diagnosis and treatment.

Our doctors create personalized care plans based on the unique needs of your child. This is true whether the diagnosis is a common condition, such as an ear infection or sinusitis, or a rare condition, like a craniofacial structural difference or microtia, meaning a small or malformed ear.

We also care for children with airway abnormalities that are present at birth or acquired, sleep and breathing disorders such as snoring or sleep apnea, and aerodigestive and swallowing disorders.

Our doctors collaborate with audiology services to manage problems with hearing in children. Because a hearing impairment can lead to a speech delay, we also offer individualized speech and hearing services. In addition, our doctors create treatment plans for children with vestibular and balance disorders such as vertigo.

We have specialized clinics to address voice disorders and velopharyngeal insufficiency, which is a structural problem of the soft palate and the back of the throat that affects speech. Our goal is to improve a child’s ability to communicate.

In addition, we tailor treatments for children who have head and neck masses or vascular malformations of the head and neck.

We take a family-centered approach to care that is supported by child life specialists and social workers, who are part of Sala Institute for Child and Family Centered Care and who are available to help support you and your child’s wellbeing.
